OK GO x 5!

Tonight will mark the 5th time I have seen OK GO, making them the band I have seen the most shows of!

Relient K comes in 2nd with 3 times (hopefully 4 this winter)

OK GO have become famous, and even Grammy award winners for their brilliant, well-crafted music videos. A lot of people just dig them because of this...Does this bother me? No, why should it? I'm not even in the band, haha. I love their music and their videos are just bonuses for me! Gosh, these dudes are cool!

THANKS!!!!!

Hope y'all had an awesome THANKSGIVING! (aka Slapsgiving - my gf celebrated this by slapping me, haha)

I try to be as thankful as I can, as often as I can. So though I try to instill this value in me on a daily basis, what better time to do it than the holiday celebrating the feeling of thankfulness.

Here's what I'm thankful for:

-My family, plain and simple. We have been through a lot in the last couple of years but we have stuck together like glue. I love that and wouldn't trade my family in for anyone else! My Nana, Papa and Uncle who watch over us, I am thankful for them and for the super positive impact they have had on me! Also, my nephew Mikey and my upcoming neice/nephew - STOKED!!!

-Katie Stiel. She is nothing but awesome! She is my dream girl and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The Pam to my Jim. The Kelly to my Zack. The Wilma (aaaaaaaaa) to my Fred! She is the best and I'm thankful to be with her!

-For co-starting a t-shirt brand with my pal, Noel, which is called Try This On For Size (ttofs.com), and for starting a brand dedicated to raising awareness to cancer and heart disease, called RAD (rally against disease - radfundrasing.com)

-To be able to, with the help of a ton of great people, throw fundraisiers - next one is November 6th!

-To still be employed and to be on day-shifts! Yaha!

-To have Slurpee coupons thanks to Mikey!

-The Leafs have kicked off the 10/11 season 2-0! Heck ya!

-For eating pumpkin pie for dinner!

-Being able to listen to the Beatles on vinyl, thanks to Mike!

-To see my 1/2 of my favorite current bands, OK GO, this Thursday, for the 5th time, and potentially seeing the other half, Relient K, in Ohio doing an acoustic Christmas set this December!

-For all my friends, just great people, who have helped me out a ton!

Went to a sweet dinner party last night! Not nearly as awkward as Michael Scotts...We had delicious appetizers from m'lady, a seafood bake and an apple crisp! We also played some games. It was great!

Recommended a band by friends: Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - been listening to Shake the Sheets all morning! Listen to Little Dawn/Heart Problems. So catchy!

Be kind. (to everyone)

Last month on my way to work I was approached by a dude (Mr. X) who gave me a "speech" that his Mom was sick in Toronto with cancer, and he made his way from Barrie to see her, despite the fact that his wallet was depleted.

Now, I'd do anything for family, as I thought this guy was doing, so when he kindly asked of me to purchase a GO Ticket for him, I thought the least I could do was help out.

I told him we'll head back and grab a ticket, then he said he didn't leave until after midnight, and if we got it now, the ticket would become void, leaving him stranded yet again and my wallet 14 dollars lighter for nothing. Right there, I should have said, "Sorry bro, that's the best I can do", but I let naivety get the best of me that evening and forked the money over, along with some additional cash for a cuppa coffee. Am I a saint for performing this act? Hardly. In fact some could argue that I am walked a fine line, falling more towards the side of "grade-A sucker". The hot dog vendor whom I purchased a, you guessed it, hot dog from then asked me if I knew that guy. I told him no and he gave me the impression that he was a scammer. Ah, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt the best I could, yet still couldn't shake the thought of being potentially "bamboozled".

There is a homeless man (Mr. Y) I always saw when I worked days. Every so often I would wear a shirt from the flick 28 days later saying "infected." This particular gentleman was enamored with this tee and every time I walked by him he would always ask me why I wasn't wearing it. Very friendly and I had no problem freeing up some of my change for this dude.

This past Monday Mr. X approached me again and recognized me and asked again if I could help him. This time I had to say no and my suspicions were confirmed when I say Y and he said X does this all the time and is only nice when people give him money.

I told Y he was one of the nicest people I have met, and he said something that stuck with me, "I don't pick and choose who I say 'God Bless You' to."
