Steve Thoughts!

Here are some random items as a result of this past weekend (March 26-28)

-Although severely sleep deprived, I got a lot done! Applied for some jobs, got to see my bro and some friends. And I primed my room in the house I'm moving into Easter weekend thanks to MUCHO help from Katie

-BEST WRESTLEMANIA in a long while! Sucks I couldn't see it with my bro, but saw with my pals Noel, Brendan, Dave, Nate, Caroline, Tom and Ian. Ian was excited beyond belief for the event, and even heighted my excitement/enjoyment as well! He got me even more stoked (if that was possible!)
Great show with some cool stuff in Money In The Bank and Taker/Shawn tore it up/the house down! It was a bummer because that's HBK's "last match" but take that with a grain of salt in this whacky wrestling biz. Regardless, Shawn Michaels is my fav wrestler of all time and WWE and wrestling in general will not be the same!

-"Juliette" by Hollerado is a great song - you should give it a listen at http://www.grooveshark.com/

-Tried a new burrito joint called Poco Loco with Katie and it was tasty!

-Received a delicious present from my pals Hollie & Matt: COOOOKIE CRISP!

-Noel met TNA wrestler Austin "Consequences" Creed and got to snap some pics wearing a shirt from our brand. http://www.ttofs.com/

-Psyched for Easter this weekend!

-Started reading Scott Pilgrim - started with volume 4 and thought it was hilarious and witty. One of the characters has a "Shins" poster in their room and the constant video games references had me sold on it instantly. Speaking of comics - I'm on volume 3 of both The Walking Dead and Y: The Last Man. Also awesome!

-Drove through some crazy fog, which was...crazy

That's all for now - stay safe and positive!

WRESTLE-FRIGGING-MANIA!

...is just 2 days away and I for one am tres excited.

Here are my predictions which I can boast about after the show if I am right, and delete if I am wrong, haha...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 Card:

- HHH vs. Sheamus
Sheamus needs to pull out a victory, hopefully a decisive one, as he needs to jump-start his momentum-mobile!

- CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio (If Rey Mysterio Loses, He Must Join The Straight Edge Society)
I think CM Punk will get the cheap, heelish win (to add even MORE heat to his character...if that's possible) and months of storyline will unfold as a result from this match.

- Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase
Orton (aka the next-gen Austin) will capitalize on a dispute between Legacy over who should get the 3-count on Randell.

- No Holds Barred Match: Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon
12 years in the making! Never thought I would see this day. I could see some interference on Vince's behalf, where we may see the Hary Dynasty come to Bret's aid. Either way, I hope for a clean finish via tap-out from the Sharpshooter. I hope Shawn Michaels is nowhere to be seen in this match.

*10 Man Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Jack Swagger vs. MVP vs. Matt Hardy vs. Evan Bourne vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston
Christian is my pick, who I think/hope will cash in that night on a unsuspecting new-champ Edge. If not, could be Kofi or MVP's year, or Drew getting a cheap one.

- Unified Tag Team Title Match: The Miz and The Big Show © vs. John Morrison and R-Truth
I see Morrison FINALLY getting the pin on Miz ending their feud.

- World Title Match: Chris Jericho © vs. Edge
I can see Edge dethroning Jericho in a close match-up via the spear (spear...Spear...SPear...SPEar...SPEAr...SPEAR!). As noted earlier, I can see Christian cashing in on his "brother" Edge, giving him a taste of his own medicine in the process and elevating Christian. Also an instant feud starter with Jericho rumored to be going on a Fozzy inspired hiatus. Regardless, going to awesome. Two of my favorites!

- WWE Title Match: Batista © vs. John Cena
As much as I love Batista's new found heel-dom, I can see Cena 'adjusting his attitude' (PUNS RULE!) and getting the strap to close out the show on a high note!

- Career vs. Streak – Winner By Pin or Submission Only: Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker
GOOD GRAVY! I think this is the most I have ever anticipated a match in my entire life, no joke! I knew it was a big deal in September '97 when they first wrestled. I knew it was a bigger deal in October '97 when they met in the first Hell in a Cell (on my personal favorite matches ever!). I knew how big last year's Mania match was, and I know this one is even bigger! Shawn's career vs. Taker's streak. Man, what drama! I can see Shawn going over, so confident in fact that I bet my Mom a dinner over it! But who knows. Aslong as it's a clean match, no interference and Bret Hart isn't involved!

Any way you slice it, this is going to a Mania that won't be red reels!

Mini Putt!

The be all/end all of addicting games, proving that the website it is on is not just a clever name.

I've recently started playing this again at my night-shift job, in order to drive a wedge (PUN INTENDED) in the monotony.

My current high score is 24, but in college I got 18!
(I played a LOT in college. $9,000 well spent!)

My girlfriend, the super hero!

Katie was featured in an article in Saturday's edition of the Hamilton Spectator talking about her Good Neighbour campaign in conjunction with Environment Hamilton. A great read and a great cause. Check out the links provided for more info.

ROH! ROH! ROH!

This is Davey Richards. He is awesome. He kicks the crap out of people.

This is Kenny Omega. He is awesome. He does hadoukens.

This past Saturday at Ring Of Honor Wrestling in Mississauga, these two put on a clinic, and as a result; a classic main event that will be talked about for a while.

Great stuff from these two. Insane dives to the outside, hard hitting exchanges and several near-falls that stirred all on-lookers into a frenzy.

Also on the card Player Dos further proved himself in a losing but valiant effort against Kevin Steen and El Generico displayed his toughness by taking everything Chris Hero had. Generico refused to tap out to Hero's submission and subsequently passed out.

Our good pal Dave, who wrestles as Rip Impact, and Mike Rollins, another dude we trained with were showcased in the pre-show. Both class-acts and no doubt they will join the Flatliners on the main show in the near future!

Can't wait for ROH's return!

BRAIIINS...

I just finished Volume 1 of the surprisingly gory Marvel Zombies. A great read if you are a fan of the Marvel universe and/or zombies. Lucky for me I am down with both!

So if you are looking for something to whet your 'decomposing super heroes who are hungry for brains' appetite - look no further!

NEW OK GO MUSIC VIDEO!

OK Go - This Too Shall Pass
Uploaded by yom_. - See the latest featured music videos.

T-SHIRTS A-PLENTY!

Two in fact...but that'll change in the coming weeks.

www.ttofs.com

A project of my good pal Noel and myself, though Noel is spearheading, or "shark finning" the operation.

He essentially has a small t-shirt creation factory is his basement, which he bought/paid for all by himself.

But, I, along with other pals dug dirt like crazy in the summer, in order to have the basement as his t-shirtery - thus, we're all equal shareholders if you look at it like that. Most don't.

Regardless, please take a look, and then another look, and TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!

Thanks a ton!

Here it goes again!

Just got my ticket for the OK Go show at The Mod Club Friday night, April 23rd!

Can't wait...

Drinks, darts and cupcakes (Oh my!)

This past weekend my girlfriend Katie's friend Sarah's boyfriend, Mark (confused yet?) had a housewarming soiree in Milton.

I was cordially invited and thought I would "take it easy" for the night. After much deliberation I selected a 6-pack of Rickard's White over my often chosen Rickard's Red, mainly because the White came with a free St. Patty's Day glass. What can I say; I am a sucker for give-a-ways.

It turned out to be a very fun night, and my idea of taking it easy with a 6-pack turned into 8 beers and a tequila shot! Nothing too crazy though, but it's amazing how quickly beers can be drank when playing a rather confusing game of "Darts and Drinking." Thank goodness my lovely girlfriend bought me a delicious cupcake (complete with Spider-Man topper) that I devoured on the ride home, absorbing the effects of said party.

All in all a very fun night, despite waking up hourly, with the feeling that all those items I ingested were trying to escape up through my yapper. Thankfully sleep intervened and no puke for me.

A feel good story no doubt!

Thoughts from the weekend!

-Lots of snow, that has seemingly disappeared!

-Kicked off the weekend eating donuts, watching Four Square and It's Always Sunny with my bro and nephew!

-Dinner and drinks with the family!

-Sushi with m'lady and her roommates, followed by drinking games made for one fun and stomach aching' Saturday!

-HOLY CRAP! WHAT A GAME!
Canada inched past Slovakia and moved on to the finals in the gold medal game against the USA!
Not that I am "Joe Sports" by any means, but I always said I think it's rad when any championship game is decided in overtime as it adds that much more intensity to what can be best described as an already wicked-intense atmosphere, but Canada did it! LOUUUU! Sid the kid! Iggy! Honourable mentions to Martin Brodeur and Ryan Miller! Stoked to be Canadian!
Winning the gold in men's hockey is special enough, but that medal put the canucks at 14 golds won, earning them the title of "most gold medals won!"
