Joke of the week...

As told to me by my bro:

Why did Raphael of the TMNT break up with his girlfriend?

She said "sais don't matter"!!!!!

This long-weekend, I

- made pizzas, bowled and got to hang a bunch with Katie

- karaoke'd with my Mom, James, Katie and Noel! Hits included Don't Look Back In Anger (surprise, surprise), Stand By Me, What's The Story Morning Glory, Don't Let Me Down, A Day In The Life, Jizz In My Pants, Christmas Is All Around Me, Daughter and more!

- played one the wii-updated version of one of my favorite NES games: A Boy And His Blob! Also nearing the end of New Super Mario Bros. Wii - ya, I know, I'm slacking!!!

- watched the first half of Season 2 of Flight Of The Conchords, which is more brilliant than the first! Is that possible?

- had chinese food with my Mom, and watched Breakfast Club!

Coming to theatres this Christmas...

Michael Steven Douglas Gillon is ... HOME ALONE!!!

STEVE THOUGHTS Vol. 24589.7

Yo, yo! What's up, universe? Digging your vibes lately; here's why:

- FanExpo Canada last week with Noel and I's t-shirt biz, Try This On For Size (http://www.ttofs.com/) setting up shop and selling tees! Sold 102 total (+2 RAD fundraising shirts) and met a ton of people that were cool to say the least! It was great and encouraging to be surrounded by so much positive energy in preparing. Long nights, barely any sleep and tons of hard work (Noel more-so) but it's paying off and it's only getting bigger and better from here! Noel: thanks for including me in all of this broski - you're a true pal!

- After Expo concluded we hit up the bar for beers, and wings and copious amounts of Tequila (I HAD TO WORK, JEFF!!!). We also received a call all the way from Austrailia from our best buds Justin and Amanda! Really rad hearing from them!

- Just got offered a day job in tape vault today at work - sayonara night shifts!!!

- In the midst of planning to get a tattoo very soon, gonna be great!

- Congrats to my buddy Josh, who is now a member of the Uncle Club! Welcome aboard, dude; you're going to love it! Again, probably a sign my writing skills are rubbish, but the feeling is truly impossible to describe! Congrats to your bro, Jake as well!

- Mikey is just, awesome - love hanging with that dude!

- Katie is also awesome and it's great to hang with her after a very busy summer! Grand Bend next mo'friggin weekend!

- I hope to skimboard next weekend, and as much as I love summer, I'm stoked for Fall as that leads to Thanksgiving, Halloween and of course Hanukkah and Christmas!!!

- I just love my family and my life, man!

Be well,

S to the Gski!

HOME ALONE MIKEY!!!

Rolling Stone's top 100 BEATLES tunes of ALL TIME!

HERE!

STEVE PILGRIM???!!!??!!?!

I know, I know, I've made a Scott Pilgrim character before so while you're muttering under your breath that I'm fresh out of ideas and recycling blog posts, please hear me out!

A former co-worker friend of mine, Gillian had this to say when asked if she had seen/read SP: "Haven't seen the movie, but read the first few books. Mentally replaced "Scott Pilgrim" with "Steve Gillon" throughout"

And my bff, Hollie was heard to remark: "Read the first volume of Scott Pilgrim and he might as well be called Steve Gillon!"

haha honestly, being the gigantic SP fan that I am, I think that is soooo cool! Maybe it's the fact I'm a dork who loves music and video games! Maybe cause in the midst of my awkwardness there are small glimpses of humor ! I bet it's the fact I can pull a sword through my chest at will!
